On CGF - A Little Help Is What We Need
Arnold Ang and the Cebu Guitar Fest crew is most definitely swamped with lots of details to worry about for the event's first leg tonight. I can't blame them. The hype it has built... the success it has achieved last year... the pressure is inevitable.
On a positive note, things can only get better.
Sadly I haven't been so involved this year in this endeavor due to a lot of obligations at work except to show up in the photoshoot (photo in this page courtesy of Wayne Congmon) and write a few blogs about it.
Anyhow, to kick off this year's highlight - the most awaited finale at the Outpost - the organizers have posted the guidelines for everyone to follow and the very final schedule as well.
We all need your help and cooperation to make this a successful one. This shouldn't be too much to ask.

Rock And Roll Can Never Die

"My my, hey hey...
Rock and roll is here to stay
It's better to burn out
Than to fade away
My my, hey hey..."
Respect is earned and voluntarily delivered by those who have faith in a man's vision.
Rock 'n' roll, one of the manifested languages shaped by visionaries for the benefit of other visionaries, have allowed mankind to trade unconventional ideas, attempt to share feelings (even with the most impenetrable), and traversed through decades adapting in countless genres.
Visions need tools as rock 'n' roll need guitars to breathe.
Ideas need leaders. Arnold Ang shall deliver again...
The Cebu Guitar Festival... his vision. Coming again at this time of the year. Stay tuned.
"Hey hey, my my...
Rock and roll can never die
There's more to the picture
Than meets the eye
Hey hey, my my..."
- excerpt from "My My, Hey Hey (Out Of The Blue)" by Neil Young
