A Camerawall (again) at Baybeats 2010

There's a big event happening on Aug 21, 2010 in Singapore and I happen to be part of it.  No it's not an Insect gig.  At Baybeats, I'll be a certified Camerawall.

It's the 2nd time I'll be playing with the band and just like how it was in May, I'm sure you and I will enjoy every bit of it.  Only this time it's gonna be a lot better.

Oh and just to give a bit of info on what's going on behind the walls, Clem and I are taking steps on possible collaborations.  How to go about it is still in the works but it's something I'm personally excited about.  Something to look forward to.  I'll try not to disappoint TCW fans if this pushes through.  That's a promise.

Meantime let's wait... and while waiting, I hope to see you in Singapore.

How to be a Camerawall

I don't know really.  Though I did become a Camerawall for day on May 15, 2010.

Spent hours cramming on TCW songs in the middle of a very hectic week including 'I Love You, Natalie' (not in video).  Thanks to Lilystars Records especially to Val and Tonet for the markings of these beautiful vids.

Here it is at the CICC (Cebu International Convention Center).  Rehearsal free.

Change usually upsets people

If you want to change things, be sure you know who are those you will be upsetting.

The Beatles changed the world's perception of pop music - the ladies loved them but upset the male population.

Napster, CD pirates, and MP3 technology changed every consumer's preference but upset the labels and publishers.

Progress changes lifestyles usually for the better but upsets the skeptics, the purists, the politicians, and so on.

Change or any movement that resembles it, whether good or bad, leads to consequences, karma, feedback, answers, and so on...

Lily Stars Records, an indie record label in Manila is reviving the concept of selling singles.

Yes singles... one song instead of an album.

To me, this is interesting. But I wonder what type of change this could bring to both the general public and to the music community? Surely this will sooner or later upset people somehow somewhat. Question is who will these people be?
